Aquatic Therapy Rehabilitation

If you live with neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and other disorders, simple, everyday movement can be difficult or painful. The Aquatic Therapy program at CHI St Joseph Health Rehabilitation Center can help improve your movement and quality of life. It’s what we do every single day – and it’s what drives us.

Aquatic therapy as part of rehabilitation offers a number of benefits:

  • The warmth and gentle support of the water provides an excellent environment for exercise, pain relief, improved circulation and control of swelling
  • Aquatic therapy is particularly effective since the buoyancy properties of water make exercising easier and safer to perform
  • The warm water relaxes muscles and joints, and the moving water within the pool creates a natural resistance to movement while challenging balance

CHI St Joseph Health Rehabilitation Center’s aquatic therapy program offers physical and occupational therapy, plus a wellness program that includes fitness classes to help increase strength, mobility, balance and aerobic conditioning.

Our team, your advantage.

Our aquatic therapy team incudes physical and occupational therapists, physical and occupational therapist assistants, and exercise physiologists who never stop learning about the effective use of aquatic therapy.

With a unique set of knowledge and experience, our team designs aquatic programs that benefit senior citizens, athletes, students, children and other adults.

State-of-the-art therapy pool.
