A group for parents of children with AD/HD meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 7:00-8:30 PM. Adults with AD/HD meet on the 4th Wednesday of each month from 7:00-8:30 PM. Alzheimer's Support Group Alzheimer's Association® caregiver support groups, conducted by trained facilitators, are a safe place for caregivers, family and friends of persons with dementia to develop a support system, exchange practical information on care giving challenges and possible solutions, talk through issues and ways of coping, share feelings, needs, and concerns, and learn about community resources. Bariatric Surgery Support Group
This group meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the St. Joseph Professional Building, Suite 140 Classroom from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. Breastfeeding Support Group - La Leche League
La Leche League is an international, non-profit, non-sectarian, organization whose mission is to help mothers worldwide breastfeed. We offer mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education. La Leche League Leaders are volunteers with personal experience breastfeeding and are trained and accredited by La Leche League International to assist mothers at every stage of breastfeeding. The MatureWell Lifestyle Club Caring for the Caregiver Support Group has been designed to provide a safe environment for those caring for loved ones with a variety of ongoing health conditions. The group offers emotional, spiritual, educational, and social support; enabling caregivers to develop coing skills and management tools to maintain personal health and wellness, so he/she can fulfill their caregiving role. Friends Gathering Respite Care
Friends Gathering Respite Care is a no-fee ministry of Christ United Methodist Church designed to provide an interval of rest or relief to a primary caregiver of a loved one who has been diagnosed with dementia or other debilitating disease. A regularly scheduled respite can ease the strain on caregivers. After signing in their loved ones, caregivers can have three hours of personal time. Or, if they prefer, they are welcome to stay for the program. Friends Gathering can also benefit persons with the disease by allowing them to socialize, exercise, and receive mental stimulation in a safe caring environment. Dealing with the loss of a loved one is never easy. There is typically a wave of emotions to process and it frequently takes time to absorb the impact of a major loss. Hospice Brazos Valley offers extensive bereavement support, classes, and programs to help guide you through a difficult time in your life. Hospice Brazos Valley Bereavement services are available to anyone in the community (children, teens, and adults of all ages) who have experienced the death of a loved one.
