HMR is a comprehensive program that combines a structured diet, physical activity, and behavioral lifestyle-change coaching. It is design to help people lose weight while learning the skills they need to keep it off. CHI St. Joseph Health exclusively offers the HMR Weight Management Services (HMR) in the Brazos Valley. Our program includes:

  • Weekly classes for weight loss and long term weight management.
  • Medical supervision by our medical director for in-clinic diet options.
  • Lifestyle-change education focused on strategies for increasing fruits and vegetables, lowering dietary fat, and increasing daily physical activity.
  • A separate "maintenance" component for continued support to practice the skills needed to maintain weight loss over the long term. 
  • Support and accountability provided by our CHI St. Joseph Health staff.
