Rapid assessment, total care.

In the Emergency Room, the response team quickly assesses the need for additional trauma specialists.

The CHI St. Joseph Trauma Team includes trauma surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, vascular surgeons, plastic surgeons, neurosurgeons, ear nose and throat specialists, thoracic surgeons, anesthesiologists, radiologists, and other trauma physicians. The Trauma Team also includes nurses, techs, imaging, RT...

And with the latest technology in diagnostic equipment, our emergency room physicians make fast and accurate diagnoses. Once a trauma patient leaves the emergency room and is admitted to our Level II Trauma Center, the Trauma team plans and coordinates every aspect of care until it’s time for the patient to leave the facility.

  • CHI St. Joseph Health is the primary 911 Service Provider for Burleson County, Grimes County, and Madison County.
  • CHI St. Joseph Health’s trauma program is one of only a handful in the nation that operates both a ground and air ambulance service.
  • CHI St. Joseph Health AirMedical is housed at our hospital in Bryan. This means AirMedical crew members gain hospital experience in trauma care while rounding with trauma surgeons. The result is seamless coordination of care.
