Procedure: Rotator Cuff Repair
Surgeon: Dr. Anthony Zissimos
A: When I could no longer shoot a basketball with my kids, I knew it was time to do something about my shoulder. The severely limited range of motion in my shoulder was restricting my activities. It was affecting my life.
I kept putting off surgery, thinking it would get better, but it didn’t. It got to the point where I couldn’t ignore it. After meeting several doctors and pursuing all our options, I opted for rotator cuff reattachment surgery with Dr. Zissimos.
A: Dr. Zissimos and his staff helped me prepare for, plan and schedule my surgery for the least possible limits on my business activities.
Our experience at CHI St. Joseph couldn’t have been smoother. I think the preparation going into it was perfect. Pre-registration was done before the day of surgery. I walked in, and everything was set up. They explained the process and what to expect. Dr. Zissimos’ staff already had my follow-up appointments set up. I didn’t even have to worry about that.
My wife was very happy with the way Dr. Zissimos explained everything to her post-op. They made medicine management easy, and the nurses followed up with me several times, to make sure everything was going smoothly.
A: I’m glad I chose Dr. Zissimos for my surgery. Before the surgery, I couldn’t move my arm away from my side, and I couldn’t get my hand up over my head. There is most definitely a vast improvement already.
A: I’d tell them that Dr. Zissimos and his staff were great. He has a wonderful support team. They’re very good. Every time I went for an appointment the wait was very short. I would definitely recommend Dr. Zissimos and St. Joseph! I have nothing negative, whatsoever, to say about Dr. Zissimos and his staff, or about St. Joe's. They took care of business and got me home!
