Justin Brazeal, MD

Dr. Brazeal is a member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of '01. He went on to UT Southwestern Medical School, and then completed his orthopedic training and fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at UT Health Science Center San Antonio where he was Chief Administrative Resident. Dr. Brazeal joined St. Joseph Orthopaedic Associates in 2012. Dr. Brazeal and his wife recently added a baby boy to their family.


Joseph J. Iero, MD 

Dr. Iero joined CHI St. Joseph Health Orthopaedic Associates after completion of an Orthopaedic residency in San Antonio, Texas and a Sports Medicine fellowship in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Iero treats a wide range of orthopaedic injuries with a special interest in sports medicine, shoulder and knee problems. He speaks Italian and enjoys Italian wine and cuisine. He and his wife have three children.


Mark B. Riley, MD 

Dr. Riley is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed an orthopaedic internship and residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and a fellowship in reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee at Gaston Episcopal Hospital in Dallas. Dr. Riley lives in Bryan with his wife, Jane, and they have three children and one grandchild. He enjoys running, music, and photography.


Barry L. Veazey, MD 

Dr. Veazey is a member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie class of '84, who went on to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, where he completed his M.D. program. From there, Dr. Veazey went to the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and completed an orthopaedic internship and residency. He completed his final year of residency as the Chief Resident in Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of the Boy Scouts of America and St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoys running, gardening, and reading.

Dr. Darryl Peterson

Darryl Peterson, MD 

Dr. Peterson divides his time between our Operating Room at Regional Hospital and our College Station Orthopedics clinic, where he works alongside experts and therapists to care for patients’ hand injuries, deformities and infections. Dr. Peterson holds a Doctorate in Medicine from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He completed his Hand Fellowship at the Christine Kleinert Institute in Louisville, Kentucky. In his spare time, he enjoys photography, cycling, running and playing tennis with his wife Lydia.

Chris Teacle, PA

Physician Assistant Teacle graduated from Centenary College of Lousiana with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Following his completion at Centenary, he recieved his Physician Assistant degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center. Chris proudly served in the U.S. Army as the Second Divison Armored Calvary Scout from 1986-1992. He enjoys fishing, restoring and driving his classic mustang, practicing martial arts, and spending time with his two daughters, Carter and Camille.

Stewart Brooks, PA

Physician Assistant Brooks joined Texas Brain and Spine Insitute in June 2010. He graduated from MEDEX Northwest in Seattle, Washington; receiving his Certificate in physician assistant studies. He completed his Bachelor's degree at Columbia University. He practiced neurosurgery in Washington and in Oregon prior to joining Texas Brain and Spine Institute. Prior to physician assistant training, Stewart worked as a hospital corpsman/EMT in the Navy. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Brazos Valley Physician Assistants, Columbia College of Alumni, and Univeristy of Washington Alumni. In his spare time, Stewart enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. They enjoy golfing, hikingm swimming, sporting events, and traveling.
