CHI St. Joseph Health offers—at no cost—a complete diabetes education program that will help you manage your diabetes while living life to the fullest.
Offered twice a month, the Living Well with Diabetes education program is taught by our Certified Diabetes Educator, Shelby Jaedicke, RN, MSN, and Michelle Dohrman, registered and licensed dietician.
The program begins with two 3-hour core sessions, focusing on proper nutrition using carbohydrate counting, exercise, blood glucose monitoring, foot care, and other important areas of diabetes management. Living Well with Diabetes teaches self-management skills to control diabetes so you can live life to the fullest.

A monthly grocery store tour is included in the program, as well as a one-month membership with the CHI St. Joseph Health Wellness Center.
Our diabetes management education program is available to inpatients, outpatients and the Brazos Valley community. It is a recognized education program of the American Diabetes Association.
